Bethany Craig is a PhD student at the University of Kentucky. Her work blends bodily scars, cartography, and art to encompass body markings, both permanent and temporary as sites of alternative modes of flourishing and bodily commemoration. Bethany disseminates her work to help people think of their scars not as subtractions, but as additions to who they are. The markings on our bodies— physical, imaginary, and intangible—help to tell our spatial and temporal stories.
