Dr. Caroline McClure

Caroline McClure is a Senior Lecturer in the Geosciences Department at Georgia State University and Director of the Professional Certificate in GIS. Caroline is a three-degree geographer, with degrees from Texas State University (Ph.D. in Geography Education, 2018), The University of Wyoming (M.A. in Geography, 2012), and The University of Tennessee (B.A. in Geography, 2005). She also graduated from Georgia State University in 2008 with an M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies Education. Caroline is also the faculty advisor for the GSU Ultimate Frisbee Club team. Caroline has been a member of SEDAAG for five years and currently serves as the SEDAAG Secretary (2024-2026).

Caroline’s teaching experience includes Introduction to Landforms, Introduction to Human Geography, and Introduction to GIS at the graduate and undergraduate level, as well as an online section for students enrolled in the Professional Certificate in GIS.
